Habakkuk 1:1-4 “How Long O Lord”

In the opening verses of Habakkuk, the prophet teaches us that real faith doesn’t ignore pain but brings it honestly before God. Habakkuk laments God’s silence in the face of violence and injustice, crying out, “How long, O Lord?” His words remind us that worship isn’t always a shout of triumph—sometimes it’s a brokenhearted prayer. Faith feels the ache of unanswered prayers, wrestles with why God doesn’t act, and yet still clings to Him. This passage shows that lament is not weakness but part of genuine faith, teaching us to trust God even when His timing feels unbearably slow.
